U.P. Government Scholarships (R.A. No. 5549)

Scholarship Coverage

• Covers tuition, fees (except student fund), book allowance, and monthly stipend.
• Scholarship choice is flexible, but limited yearly by availability and a priority on natural and physical sciences, engineering, agriculture, fisheries, forestry, economics and public administration programs (60%). The rest (40%) shall be limited to the Professional, Social Sciences and Humanities courses outside of the fields of study mentioned.

Eligibility

• Must be a financially deserving Filipino senior high school graduate.
• Must pass the U.P. College Admissions Test (UCAT).

Scholarship Benefits and Conditions

• Awardees can enjoy a maximum of two grants (government, private, or STFAP) with combined living allowance not exceeding P7,000 per month.
• Requires full academic load (at least 15 units per semester) and maintaining a minimum weighted average of 2.5.
• Failure to meet academic requirements or getting disciplinary sanctions may result in scholarship termination.
• Maximum extension of two semesters beyond the program duration is allowed.
